Alita: Battle Angel (2019) Review

A lot of fun, but the eyes are simply Too Big!!

You can't give one character*, the main character no less, the CGI Anime Eyes and not have it be incredibly distracting every time she's on screen! Plenty of other characters have wild visual designs without it crossing over into the uncanny valley. We don't need the shorthand for her being different than everyone else in the city, we can tell that simply by how she moves through the world.
