Little Women (2019) Review

"Money is the end and aim of my mercenary existence."
It's rare for a film to be so warm, gentle, and cozy without also being dull, treacly, or preachy. Gerwig and co. pull it off with style!
The costuming is stylish without being distracting. The titular foursome's artistic bric-a-brac of the crammed writer's desk, the airy artist's studio, the genteel gifted piano, and the hacked together theatre stage are to die for.
Practically every big role is expertly cast: Saoirse Ronan rips; Florence Pugh rips; Timothee Chalamet rips; Laura Dern rips; Chris Cooper rips; except for Bob Odenkirk who, for some reason (the facial hair and union soldier's costuming?) constantly seems a few seconds away from toppling back into a Mr. Show sketch.
I would welcome a third team-up of Saoirse Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, and Greta Gerwig at this time.
